Placements

An important element of the scheme is the exposure you will receive to a variety of work experiences and organisations involved in different aspects of procurement. In the first year of the scheme you will be assigned to a number of work placements within your home department, each lasting around 3-4 months. In the second year you will be placed in assignments outside your home department, to broaden your experience and to give you an insight into different procurement environments. External placements may be in other government departments, or possibly with suppliers or other private sector organisations.
