Mentoring

When you join your home department you will be assigned to a mentor, who will be a senior member of the department and a procurement professional, able to advise and guide you on your professional development. Your mentor will play an important role in helping you to reach the required levels of competence by the time you graduate from the scheme.

Your mentor will act as a source of information and guide to:

  • enable you to understand the culture of your home department
    •   
  • assist you to progress through the GPGS development and training programme
    •   
  • help to develop your career in the longer term.
