If you are unsuccessful at any stage, don’t worry. You could apply to this Scheme again next year; or check for “Procurement Vacancies” in the Government Procurement Service section of the OGC website.

Firstly, we would like you to complete an on-line application form. This asks you some key eligibility questions to begin with, followed by questions relating to your qualifications and work experience to date. Finally, you will be asked to show evidence of some of the skills and capabilities required for the Scheme by providing examples of when you have demonstrated these previously.

We will let you know if you have been successful or not via email, so please check your email account on a regular basis.

If you are successful at meeting the standard we require at the application form stage, we will ask you to carry out an on-line numerical reasoning test and a telephone interview. This is so that we can find out more about you, the skills you could bring to the Scheme and why you are interested in procurement as a career. The telephone interview will also give you the opportunity to learn more about us, and the opportunity available to you.

Finally, if you are successful at the second stage, we will invite you to come and spend a day with us at an assessment centre. This is so that you can get a feel for what the work of a government procurement graduate is really like, as well as show us how suited you are to our Scheme and the way we procure goods and services. You will receive full instructions on the day as to what you will be required to do, so don’t worry if it looks a little daunting now.
